“A hidden gem - friendly, good value and FANTASTIC location”

Yet another fantastic bank holiday on the Island in our favourite, we will never stay anywhere else on the island whilst Steve and Jan own & run Montpelier.
Rooms are huge, clean and have plenty of storage, freeview satellite TV and full size fridge (which has a pint of milk on arrival - just what you need!) Beds are so comfortable, even without the sea air I sleep like a baby.
The hotel is seconds from the pier and the best beaches in the UK, minutes from a Sainsbury Local and every type of food known to man (even a new Indian and Black Rock - YUM!)
Steve, the owner, is friendly and makes you feel welcome, this really is home from home for us and the best value for money for a top location and service.

First time i stayed here with my partner and we loved it. Clean fresh rooms kettle tea coffee even a little bit of milk on your arrival. Theres also a fridge in every room which is also handy. The owner is a good man and made our stay very comfortable i highly recomend this b n b.
The views are amazing.

“Dissappointment Softened”

I booked ‘The Montpelier’ quite early in the year and got a great offer for September. I told the owner Steve that I had medical issues and could have problems. In due course the issues became more serious and I had to cancel. The disappointment of missing the holiday was softened greatly when Steve kindly refunded my deposit. One thing is for certain, I shall be booking ‘The Montpelier’ next year if all goes well.

“Loads of storage!!”

We have stayed here a few times and are always happy whilst staying here. The full size fridge is a brilliant and welcome feature and there was a pint of milk waiting for us which was fantastic as we forgot to buy some! There is loads of hanging space and drawers and a dressing table and mirror which is great for us ladies! The view from the family room is beautiful and this time Steve had put 2 new TV's in and the kids had their own with built in DVD player whilst ours was at the perfect height to watch TV in bed! The bed was so comfy, we didn't want to get up in the mornings! Steve helped carry our luggage and there was a lot of it and took it straight to our room. The shower in the bathroom is so easy to use and there is a cupboard under the sink and plenty of storage space around the sink and back of the toilet for all our toiletries. The room even has a dining table and 4 chairs. This is a brilliant place to stay. The only downfall is the steep hill you have to climb to get to it but the view is worth it!

“great value for money”

Great nights stay the bed was so comfortable I cant normally sleep in different beds but had no trouble during our stay. booked about a week before after reading a few of the reviews and they were right. .The rooms are clean and tidy plenty of Tea and Coffee, décor a bit dated. From our room we had a lovely view of the beach and pier. Breakfast was across the road at Barnaby's this was very good if you want something different than the set menu on offer you may have to pay extra. Service at both was very good and would consider going back again if we return to Sandown in the future.
